A young, creative family wanting to make a low energy and highly sustainable home on this edge of village plot in rural Hertfordshire embraced our idea of a single storey, totally timber building with large areas of sliding, opening glazing to bring the outside into a generous central family room.
A ground source heat pump and underfloor heating works in conjunction with high levels of insulation to make this home extremely comfortable and efficient to run.
Toni instilled confidence and trust, she listens carefully to her clients’ ideas. She has the ability to take a raw description of ‘what we’d like’ and turn it into something succinct, visionary and extraordinary.
